THE MOON LAY HIDDEN BENEATH A CLOUD
The
Book of Lyrics, Alzbeth presents
1999
Book
Hardcover, 313 pages, slipcase
Neofolk lost one of its greatest exponents with the demise of The
Moon lay hidden beneath a Cloud. The duo were inspired by European
mediaeval and renaissance history and used historical material (much of
it translated by Alzbeth) as well as songs written by Alzbeth. After breaking
up, Albin Julius went on to develop Der Blutharsch which
works in very close co-operation with Death In June, whilst Alzbeth
has been working on this song book. The English and the print quality
leave a little to be desired, but these disappointments should not discourage
Moon lay hidden fans from getting their hands on this unique epitaph to
one of the best groups ever covered in FluxEuropa's virtual pages.
