PHONES

THE VISORPHONE

The VisorPhone is a SpringboardTM module which clips neatly to a Handspring Visor PDA and functions as both a conventional mobile phone and (with an ISP and third-party software) a modem providing web and email access.

In mobile phone mode you can just select a phonenumber in the address book and tap dial in order to make a connection, so you can say goodbye to that tedious process of recording numbers through the keypad of a mobile phone! As a wireless modem it operates at speeds of up to 14.4 Kbps - adequate for email and bearable for access to the sort of plain website you would bother to surf on a palmtop.

The VisorPhone will be launched first in the USA before becoming available in Europe and Asia. The module measures 2.4" (6cm) X 2" (5cm) X 0.6" (1.3cm) (L x W x D) and weighs 2.9 oz (83g) with standard battery.
