DER BLUTHARSCH
Der Gott der Eisen wachsen liess
1999
WAR6 limited mCD
20:13
Since the demise of The Moon lay hidden beneath a Cloud,
Albin Julius' solo project, Der Blutharsch, has
enjoyed a close tour relationship with Death In June and
developed a distinctive sound, well exemplified by this new mini-album
which is the CD that was sold at concerts earlier this year and
is now in limited supply. Songs, chants and industrial effects mingle
with historical samples. The result is sometimes filmic and sometimes
too quirky to allow definition, but always interesting. The CD consists
of a single track. The penultimate bit is the best. It is also the
most reminiscent of the Moon lay hidden. The CD concludes with an
historical recording of German barrel-organ folk music.
