CHRISTIAN WOLZ

E Inom Rah
2000
CD
Prikosnovenie Prik041

Released on Prikosnovenie's Iris imprint, Christian Wolz's E Inom Rah is a mellow and musically seductive male vocal performance drawing on the musical language of mediaeval and non-European cultures. Modestly supplemented by samples and industrial electronica, the album sounds mostly Arabic but 'Hadun He Braesh' has a more mediaeval European feel. Christian Wolz lives in Berlin and works with a symbiosis of art forms embracing photography, musicianship and acting and directing as well as singing. A work of vocal versatility and creative imagination, this hypnotic, shamanic, and bewitching album is innovative, professional and entertaining.

Rik - 16 November 2000
