GAE BHOLG/OMNE DATUM OPTIMUM

Gae Bholg/Omne Datum Optimum
12" vinyl
Cynfeird
Limited 333 copies

The Gae Bholg tracks sounds like a traditional troubadour song mixed with heavy powerful electronic drum sounds. The first part is very peaceful but the second sounds like an apocalypse has taken place, a swirling painful track, and excellent stuff. The second side features newcomers Omne Datum Optimum. This track is the perfect addition to Gae Bholg, but while Gae Bholg and his Church of Fand sounded more like troubadours this side sounds more like traditional church singing until the moment of apocalypse: then the track continues very silently and the priestly chorus returns, a bit ambient with some power drum sounds in the background. It's also a very good track, making this record - which comes with a beautiful full colour insert sheet - worth buying.
