The Tide/A Vagrant Thought
2000
7" picture disc
H7004
World Serpent Distribution

This limited-edition picture disc features two new tracks from Joseph Budenholzer with Julia Kent (cello) and Laura Rogers (flute/vocals). 'The Tide' is a strange, sad song about crossing the River Lethe. Acoustic guitar and cello capture the flowing, watery quality of this intimation of mortality. 'A Vagrant Thought' is spoken word with female backing vocals. Extracted from Mark Twain's The Mysterious Stranger, it dismisses existence as illusion.

Rik - 26 May 2000
