INKUBUS SUKKUBUS

Frequent live performers at London's Camden Town Underworld, the goth-rock band, Inkubus Sukkubus, are certainly infused with a pagan joy and vitality, and their latest album delivers exactly what their fans would expect.

My own favourite from this album, however, is the electro-mediaeval 'Aradia', which shows their ability to produce more varied fare, though even this was still very dominated by the strict drum-machine tempo which characterises their other work. If you like their live performances you'll like this, but I can't help wishing they'd turn off the drums and escape a little more from the 70s pop-rock formula so favoured by their chums in the Pagan Federation.
