LORETTA'S DOLL

FOLLOWING The Chemical Theater live EP (1993 WSCDE007) and the full length studio CD XXI Degrees (WSCD004), Loretta's Doll have issued another EP (World of Tiers) and a full-length CD featuring the soundtrack of Orson Welles' original radio broadcast of War of the Worlds, which LD have scored. We await panic in the streets!

The group will also be contributing an ambient instrumental track to the CD which will accompany Tony Wakeford's On The World And Everything In It magazine. It's entitled 'Gnostic Drill'.

They're also working on a new CD, Nocturnal Arcade, which will include CD-ROM stuff (like their video for 'Savagery' from the World of Tiers EP).

LD member Bryin Dall promotes a New York 'Night of Misanthropy' once or twice a year which presents "dark genre" bands and DJs from all over the world. He also runs a label called Suffering Clown, 432 E. 14th Street, P.O. Box 2124, New York, NY 10009. (E-mail: sufclown@aol.com), which has now become a subsidiary label of World Serpent.

Its first CD release was due out in June. It's by the group Golden Dawn and is entitled L.V.X. It is all original Golden Dawn magickal rituals set to a dark, ambient style of music. It comes complete with a fully illustrated 16-page booklet for the rituals and contains the song 'The Temple', which is the history of the Golden Dawn Order.

Playing drums with LD is Kevin Dunn who runs Middle Pillar Distribution, a mail order service based in New York and selling lots of dark music.
