CURRENT 93 (VIDEO REVIEW)SINCE YESTERDAY: A PEAK INTO THE PIT: CURRENT 93 THIS is the first official video from Current 93 and will no doubt find its way onto the shelves of all David Tibet fans everywhere. Up to now we have just had to make do with and suffer the joys of various bootlegs of dubious sound and vision. The video consists of 22 minutes of live clips from concerts in London and Tokyo as well as more surreal additions relying heavily on Catholic iconography and The Wicker Man. Of particular interest is the footage shot in Japan and the only disappointment is that more footage from this concert was not made available. A video release from the World Serpent stable has been long overdue and let's hope it will not be too long before fellow playmates Death In June and Sol Invictus add their contributions. Noteworthy is the cover of the video which seems to imply a change of direction away from Noddy and into the Cat World of Louis Wain. Alas, poor Noddy, we knew him well!
